What would kept my cats occupied when no one’s home?

I have two cats, brothers. Lately no one has been home during the day, and I don’t want them to get bored. Are there any cat toys that would be reccommended for this situtation?

Cats are pretty much self sufficient and can make it through all day or even a week without anyone there. they will have a tendency to sleep a lot when no one is home. Also depending on the age of the cats they will likely not play with toys while alone but rather will play with each other. However, they usually would like a toy filled with catnip such as a small ball or mouse if you really want to get something for them…

I have a dog and a cat, and I leave the TV in the bedroom on so they don’t feel like they are completely alone. They don’t seem to hate me lol.

Usually, animals just sleep/lay down and be lazy while their owners are gone.

Don’t be too worried about your cat being bored while you’re not home – they’re probably snoozing! Cats sleep an average of 16 hours per day.

A bird feeder infront of a window they can look out of is perfect. Leave some jingly balls on the floor. Cats LOVE cardboard boxes. They’ve also got eachother to romp with!

toys, scratching post…..but the best thing of all??? EACH OTHER!

Cats sleep 16 hours of the day so you will find they will probably just go to sleep when you go out :-)

Get a kitty condo. Besides that and some toys, they’d keep each other company.

My cat is home on his own all day sometimes too. I find he is perfectly fine if he has some toys to play with – such as ping pong balls to chase around the house, and something to climb on, and in. He has a tube he likes to run through – you can get them cheap from pet shops, if you don’t already have one. Cardboard boxes for hiding in are always popular too. The good thing is that you have two cats, so they’ll keep each other busy anyway. Just make sure though that they are kept in a safe area of the house where they won’t knock anything down or get into anything dangerous. I don’t think you need to worry too much about boredom. Don’t forget that cats sleep a good part of the day away , so if they get bored, they’ll just sleep until you get home, then bug you all night!!

Send them over to my house. I am sure my 3 pit bulls will be more then happy to keep them company.
