Has anyone heard of the Nutro Max and Natural Choice dry cat food recall?

I am usually in dogs but just saw this online. There is a recall on Nutro cat food products and although I know it’s really not a question, I just wanted to get the word out. They are recommending not to feed this product. It’s on the Pet Supplies Plus website. Too much potassium and zinc. I just would never want to see anyone’s baby die from something like this.

Yes.I bought a bag two weeks ago and my cats started throwing up the next day and continued for four days.I didn’t think it was the food,as they were still eating and in good spirits. Then I saw it posted on YA! and I immediately knew that’s why they were throwing up.I put the food away and they stopped.I took the bag back to Tractor Supply and got my money back. The cats have been eating Eagle Pack Holistic,Chicken Soup and Purina ONE and they are fine – no more vomiting.

Rachael – Take the food back to where you bought it and you wil get a full refund.

I actually feed my cats Nutro and have been meaning to throw it out and get some new food, as I just found out about this recently. Here’s a question though…could I still feed my remaining dry food and supplement with wet cat food (not affected by the recall)?

YES! I did on friday actually and i brought all my cat food back to petsmart and they told me it was only for the nutro max line and that everything that was affected was pulled from the shevles.
The recall was not a serious thing, but there was a mix up in the amount of potassium added to some of the food which for older cats could be dangerous.
Never the less, i bought a bag of royal canin to replace it
