is it ok for a dog to play with a toy that has catnip in it?
Yes. It won’t hurt him. Catnip is even okay for people to eat. Back in Egyptian times, people used it as a spice and put it in salads. As long as the dog doesn’t swallow the toy, leading to a possible choking hazard I see nothing wrong with it.

My brothers Scotties played with my cats toys when they visit and they are fine. If its safe for cats, then its more than likely safe for dogs as well.

Yes it’s fine and it wont hurt a thing. I have never seen a dog that liked the smell though.

may make your dog sleepy if he eats enough of it

Yes, that fine. But catnip will not have the same effect on a dog as it does a cat.

i think the toy its self is fine but, i wouldnt give to much catnip,because when my dog eats my cats catnip she throws up.so if you could just not have the catnip it would probably be best.

I let my dog do it….she loved catnip and I don’t think it hurt her.
