can our 4 month old kitten be peeing and pooping on our bed due to a allergic reaction to catnip?
We gave our kitten catnip a few weeks ago and he’s been playing with his catnip toy everyday. He all of a sudden has been peeing and pooping on our bed, and we aren’t sure why. Could it be the catnip? He also pooped in our hallway and in our bathroom.
I dont think it would be from catnip…he could have UTI though.

it can be many things.
have you recently moved the litter pan? that can confuse a kitten or young cat.
have you switched cat litter brands suddenly? cats can become very particular about their litter, and if you want to switch it you have to slowly mix a little in each week until the old litter is phased out. i made this mistake when my kitten was younger, and he showed his dislike for the change by going to the bathroom in random places.
i have never heard of catnip causing that sort of reaction, but anything is possible.
