Has anyone heard of CORE Wellness cat food?
I feed my cat Wellness (canned) cat food. Today I went to another pet supply store and saw CORE Wellness (canned) cat food. I read the label and it says it has 20% more protein than ‘regular’ Wellness. I thought Wellness was already a premium brand. Is CORE Wellness super premium? Is regular Wellness not as good as I thought?
Wellness is ridiculously amazing for cats. Probably the best you can do; they just decided to make something even better with the new kitty knowledge they have gained since they started. It’s the same company so no worries.
It is the same concept as in you can buy the newest, best laptop, and by the time you get home there is something better. That doesn’t mean your laptop isn’t great!
Whether Wellness or CORE Wellness, your kitty is lucky to be fed so so well!

Yes it is – both are good. I feed Wellness canned but didn’t know they have another variety out now. I also vary between Wellness, Blue Buffalo, Natural Balance, Merrick, Before Grain and Max Cat (sometimes I throw in canned Iams too).
CORE is the "top" line of Wellness but doesn’t mean the regular is not as good.

CORE is their top tier grain-free high-protein line, but Wellness is still a good food and a great choice if CORE or similar foods are too pricy for your budget.

Regular Wellness is excellent, but yes, CORE is "super premium".
If you can afford it, by all means go for it. My cats love it but it is too costly for me to feed three cats CORE as a major part of their diets.
Buy a can and see if your cat is not impressed.
