    good idea. i might give it a shot. they get too many treats as it is…so i will have to figure out how to eliminate them from one of the other things i do with treats to coax them!

    @steiff1001 you …
    @steiff1001 you should maybe try coaxing them with treats??
    Give them a treat right after you brush them so overtime they will think getting brushed is a reward :)

    you’re lucky! you …
    you’re lucky! you can tell mine are NOT fans of being brushed!!

    I don’t like that …
    I don’t like that the furminator takes away from sheen that cats’ coats can have. It pulls the shiney hairs and i am not sure what their names are without really googling it. if you don’t care what your cats’ coats look like and just don’t want the hair, then go with the furminator. one of my favorite brushes is the JW Pet Grip Soft Shedding Blade. I have a video on YouTube of it – but you’ve gotta do it outside or in the garage – hair flies everywhere.

    My cat would totally love that brush! He LOVES being brushed..its quite funny, he will run to you and whine and whine til you brush him :)
    Btw your cats are absolutely gorgeous! :)

    Lucy hates slicker …
    Lucy hates slicker brushes. She’ll let me use a pin brush and a metal comb on her because she can scratch her cheeks on them. I find that if I let her get her cheeks scratched against the scary tool for a while then she doesn’t mind being brushed so much. I just got a regular cat pin brush from Petsmart and it seems to work pretty well at picking up loose hair. I mainly use the metal comb for her fluffier areas, her britches, for example. She dislikes having her britches and her stomach brushed.

    yup, that’s a good plan, as i mentioned in the video.

    thanks for catching that. i hate when i have to combine videos. yes, he ran off – it’s very hard to film and brush with one hand.

    Oh and I thought it …
    Oh and I thought it was odd that the video had more footage so I listened to the rest of the blank track and heard the rest of what you said. I’m guess Trigg came back for more brushing? I don’t know if you knew there was only sound.

  11. Eszra Says:

    Sweet little Trigg. …
    Sweet little Trigg. I can hear him saying “Save me, save me from the brush!” and then he hops off. This is why I plan to start grooming training as soon as there comfertable in there new home.
