Too many catnip toys?

I was just wondering if it were possibly hazardous to my cat’s health if he played with too many toys that had catnip in them. He’s almost 4 years old now and in good health. I don’t give him fresh catnip or anything but 5 of his 7 toys have catnip inside them. Should I buy a few without and mix them up a bit?

Thanks in advance for the answers (:

If your cat enjoys catnip then there is no reason to worry about too many catnip toys. The only problem with constant catnip exposure is that the cat builds a tolerance to it and the cat doesnt react to it anymore. Just take the toys with catnip in them away for a few days to a week and then give them back and you will find the cat will respond again to it. You should have a few toys without catnip in them so when you remove the catnip toys, the cat still has something to play with. And, catnip loses its potency after a while so you would either need to buy new catnip toys or just understand that it wont work like it used to.
