Can catnip make a puppy sick?
I just bought a beagle puppy and he wants to chew on the cats catnip toy, will this make him sick, ie: vomit, diarrhea?
I used to rub it on my dog to get the cat to play with him. He’s fine still.
My dogs are always tearing up catnip toys and it hasn’t affected any of them.

I am not a vet; however the effect that catnip has on cats is due to the scent – not injesting the herb.
It is a herb, and a v. good one for tea. It calms. The amount in a nip toy will not hurt your little pup. But he could choke on it. So better safe than sorry, I suggest not leaving them lying around.

any thing that consist of feline, does not and should not have anything to do with dogs don’t ever mix the two!
