Which cat toys have you had the best experiences with?

My (and my cats’) favorite is Da Bird. The Cat Dancer wire thing is okay, but with Panic Mouse I haven’t had great luck. It kind of fell apart the first evening of use.

Has anyone tried the Fling-ama-String? Which toys have been most effective with your kitties?

When I’ve had cats they like things like laser light pointers and sticks with string on the end of them. They are like kids. You buy them a fancy toy and they’ll just play with the box.

My cat took all the small stuffed animals I had from machine and carnival winnings. Poor Curious George is torn up, and my Pollywhirl pokemon thing is destroyed. I don’t mind though. At least he gave them a purpose. We attempted catnip in the pokemon one. Didn’t even phase him.

Our cats like the rabbit-furred mice (big ones) and pheasant feathers the best.

A laser light gets my cats & kittens going – 6 times up & down the stairs at speed & they’re ready for bed! They also love Da Bird. I find that they will play with bottle tops & wine corks, too.

I also have a kitten [[3 months old]] and she has had quite the Christmas. Lets just say Santa treated her well =]

I’m not quite sure what its called but it’s a platform with a pompom attached to a bendable spring and she loves to bat it around all of the time. There are also cute & soft balls with bells in them that any kitten would absolutely love! Even a simple piece of string is entertaining to them =]

I hope this information will help you and your kitten have a fun time together =]

I know it sounds weird, but my cat loves playing with those pencils that have a ball of fluff on the top, just throw them and my cat goes crazy! Anything like that really x

Oddly enough, I had a once had a cat that one of her favorite "toys", was a Slim Jim wrapper, you know those meat sticks. I don’t eat them but others in the house did. She couldn’t get enough of it. I have another that likes a feather duster, I guess she thinks it’s a bird. Cats are so funny :)

Our kitten’s favorite toys are a laser pointer and a glove that has ribbons and feathers dangling from the fingertips. She can spend hours with either.

She also likes her poof-ball attached to a spring, that bounces back and forth. But mainly she gets riled up from the glove or laser pointer then goes and pounces, whacks, and lets out her frustration on the poofball.

Two of my cats like a stick with some string and a piece of cardboard on the end,my other cat likes pages of newspaper rolled up with a feather stuck to the end.I have given up on buying cat toys because they get bored easily and prefer home made toys.

My cats have a toy similar to Da Bird and they love it because they enjoy any games where they can practise their hunting skills.

Pop up play cubes are another favourite that they never grow bored with. I’ve also given this toy as a gift for friends’ pets and it’s proved popular with cats of all ages.

I bought Fling-ama String and thought it was a waste of money. Neither of my two cats show the slightest interest in playing with it, unless I pretend that I’m interested in catching the string (lol).

I prefer toys that I make move. Much more fun for both the cats and myself. The Fling-ama-String you mount on a wall and the cat plays by itself. These are the ones my cats like the best:

The Cat Catcher – by the same company that makes "Da Bird". It’s a small wand with a wire "string" and on the end a little mouse lure. All my cats LOVE this toy – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr3nYm5K9AY

Da Bug – also by the same company. Gets destroyed quickly, though LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOci1U7RyH8

Feathers – pheasant feathers. My cats love to attack these as I drag them around on the futon or bed or wave them infront of them. You can find them online at some pet stores or on eBay. They also like the toy similar to "Da Bird" that’s a shorter wand and string – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfzR_FzZSzM

Feather boas – they’re attached to a long wand. Even Mocha attacks it – who’s new to toys since I adopted her at 4 yrs old http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-KOqD9YPbU

I bought many many toys for my cats. However , the one their favourate is "handmade". One day i use the hanger of ZARA ’s paper bag tied together becomes a string , they like to bite it. And following months i made the string becomes longer and longer ,they chase it crazy when you swing it, and they can play it by themself ,too.
I have Da Bird and other toys ,too they like them but not as crazy as this.
I don’t quite understand why they like it anyway, if i know it at first i don’t need to spend those money on other toys , lol
