My cat is noy interested in playing much?

It is very hard to get my kitty interested in attacking a toy unless I swing it very fast from side to side, in which case she just stalks and runs up to it but almost immediately looses interest. She will play with catnip toys though. We have another cat that she used to play all the time with and although I see them sometimes it is no where near as often. My cat is 11 and I have not noticed any other changes in her appetite, or behavior or blatant signs of aging. She is not overweight. Is this normal for some cats?

You can’t expect an 11 year old cat to play and act like a kitten. That’s like expecting a teenager to act and play like a toddler. It isn’t going to happen.

This seems pretty normal to me because most elder cat can lose interest in their toys or you didn’t play with it the way it wants you to:

go to My Cat From Hell
Then Go to Jackson’s Words of Wisdom
Click on "How to Play with your cat"
although this might not work then try buying it some new toys because it might get bored of the toys or add some treats in the toys.

When cat’s get older they just get lazier and more laid back. When a baby is a baby it plays with toys, but when the kid grows up it gains other interests and stops playing with toys, yes? My cat’s the same way. Even my dogs. They all used to play when they were young but now that their older their very laid back. It’s normal.
